21 Days of Remembrance:
Looking Back Over 21 Devotions on Remembrance
This is day twenty-one, the final day of our series in Remembrance. I am grateful that God has given me the privilege of studying side by side with you, through this book, the importance of REMEMBERING. Without remembering God’s goodness in our lives, His warnings, and how He has worked in the past we are often, if not always, doomed to failure in the future because of our lack of understanding.
“While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, ‘Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.’ He replied to him, ‘Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?’ Pointing to his disciples, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.’” Matthew 12:46-50 NIV
For our last remembrance point, REMEMBER that all who are redeemed in Jesus Christ’s blood are your brothers and sisters and mothers and that each of you is related to Christ. There is a time to spend with blood relatives and a time to spend with our spiritual brothers and sisters. Be careful of confusing that, God has given both as a gift; but often we confuse the balance and conflicts result.
When have you experienced conflicts between your blood relatives and your spiritual relatives?
