Thought 314: Punch First talk Later

Thought 315

Punch First talk Later

(Works for defense of women and in battle against the devil)

{A Contemplative Poem}

When I battle against my enemies—

This World, My Flesh (PRIDE), and The Devil—

I must not cower, but fight with the strength my God supplies.

For my strength is small, but Christ’s is very great!

Step up O boy!

Become a man!!

You strength is not within, but in

HIM!

Take a stand!

Punch that old snake first and talk later!

Punch your old flesh first and talk later!

Punch this sinning world first and talk later!

The peace must be maintained, it is not sporadically gained.

So which side will you be on?

The victorious side that is punching, wrestling, sparing, and winning the ultimate battle or

The unrighteous ranks that stand for everything evil.

There is nothing great or good about evil!

Only God is good and great!

Therefore align thy banners with Him.

Well, when all is said and done in the spiritual, the physical must be

Fixed upon and the actions necessary applied.

When a woman, young or old, girl or grandmother;

When Eve’s mysterious race are harmed by fellow or by country

Who will stand?

 . . . .

You?!

You, man of God are to stand!!

Who will give their lives for the protection of others?

Not a woman, not that tis not right in God’s sight

For a woman is not to defend in the place of a man.

You! You, young man, are the one to die for the enslaved! To fight for the oppressed!

The only question is will you do it?

And will you follow HIS leading?

You are created to be a leader; every man is to some degree.

Some rule a city others a country, but all rule their homes in either justice, righteousness and peace or in slander, malice, hate, and pride.

Choose young man . . . . . You must! . . . .

WILL YOU?

Thought 271: Falling Astray from Ryan's devotional book series Thoughts

Thought 271

Falling Astray

(Hebrews 4:1-13, Hebrews 5:11-14, and Hebrews 6:1-12)

It is possible to leave the faith that one has in Jesus Christ, and many are leaving faith today. But there is hope! If you or someone you know has fallen astray, you can truly ‘renew vows’ and be welcomed back into His kingdom. The Prodigal Son is a classic example of falling away. But the Prodigal Son came back! And his father joyfully received him!

Call upon His name, and deny yourself daily,                           crucifying your flesh, to follow Jesus.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:9-13 KJV

Thought 234: Fire refines from Ryan's devotional book series Thoughts

Thought 234

Fire refines

Fire removes impurities. In a like manner, hard times, those times that life feels like Hell are actually going to refine us. Not only do we learn what our character really is, but we learn what we need to work on. For example, if we cower easily when trouble comes, then we probably need to search our Bibles about humility, perseverance, and standing strong.

Thought 202: I Want a "generic" God from Ryan's devotional book series Thoughts

Thought 202

I Want a “generic” God

Have you ever said that statement in the tile inside your heart? Maybe God has chosen you to speak out, to teach, to do a little “public speaking” and none of your friends are being ‘moved’ to do the same. In those moments we sometimes say, “God, why can’t you be generic? I really want all my friends doing this with me, why don’t you move them (call) to do the same stuff so that I stay comfortable? What’s that? O! you want me to move out of my comfort zone…. Ya…ya, I know that you promised never to leave or forsake me (Hebrews 13:5). . . . Alright, I’ll do this your way, Lord—I’m just feel so alone.”

Are you honestly sure that you have never had a conversation like that with God. I made this example up, but at times we really do have more than a little irritation towards God’s will because what He is asking us to do makes us uncomfortable. Consider the importance of God’s sovereignty, love, perfection, and His plan today.

We don’t need a generic God, we need a God that is all-powerful (omnipotent) and all-knowing (omniscient). Our God is this way!

Thought 200: Try, Try Again from Ryan's devotional book series Thoughts

Thought 200

Try, Try Again

It only takes one time trying to succeed,

but how many times will you fail before victory?

The fact that we are going to fall on our face and have to get up again, that we are going to fail and have to push forward again is one of the most discouraging facts of life. In the Christian walk, our entire life is to be one of getting back up and pressing on: at times, doing what we may not like to do because our flesh must be denied. The only way that you can make it is by getting back up after a failure and staying focused. If you’ve given it all you’ve got and have failed Try, Try again!
