Poem: I Said to Her

Poem

I said to her

By: Ryan Marks

[A fictional account of one man’s story with his wife.]

Dearest one, the little one within you is about to die.

Only two options have we: one to kill the unborn babe, the other to risk thee.

I love thee second only to God.

I love thee more than this child . . . this amazing gift from above.

But I say to you now, “Fare thee well.”

For though I love your life, I will not sign . . . I will not sign . . .

The Death Warrant of our precious Child.

“Fare thee well” . . . .  “Fare thee well”

My heart is sad, but my soul is glad, for I shall see thee again.

Our child may survive or may be with you very soon.

“Fare thee well” . . . .  “Fare thee well”

The would-be executioner comes again pleading,

“If only we destroy the child your wife will live and be with thee!!”

“Fare thee well” . . . . “Fare thee well”

“O Lord, my soul longs to be with You, so that this test would not take place. But YEA, though I walk through the shadow of my dearest’s death to THEE I shall still loyal be. Thy Word is clear, murder tis’  sin and how much more that of my own children! Hold me in your arms O Lord, her breath is growing faint. . .”

“Fare thee well” . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

A Girl! They say! I laugh then cry for my dearest breath has just passed away.

I stayed true to Him . . . .

I obeyed the hardest thing that a man can ever endure – even harder than his own death. . . .

Yet that crime – abortion, God whispers to me can be forgiven. . . .

Though I have not transgressed, my soul within me now is given A MISSION.

And it shall expand as many a man reads this simple composition.

A Thought on American Young Men and Abortion

Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces;

and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb;

their eye shall not spare children.  ~Isaiah 13:18 (KJV)

This verse amply describes the condition of the United States today. Young men are being destroyed; they are becoming increasingly lazy and giving up—perhaps this is worse than their physical death. Children are openly murdered as infants. Yet Scripture teaches that life begins at conception. Today, compassion for children is not completely gone, but more and more people care more about their cell phone than children. Think about it.

Thought 258: Birth Control--a means of making man a god from Ryan's devotional book series Thoughts

Thought 258

Birth Control – a means of making man a god

Birth control is just plain wrong. It is a form of abortion, and a slap in God’s face. That pill is used for “safe sex,” child “control” and for selfish pride. Those pills are used to take God’s GIFT OF CHILDREN!! Children are a blessing (Psalm 127:3-5, Matthew 18:10, Mark 10:14, Mark 9:37) yet if you have more than two you are thought of as strange today. God said to be fruitful and multiply. If we, as humans, are supposed to fill the earth then why do we keep taking matters into our own hands. A woman does not conceive by chance, because chance doesn’t exist with God.

Man is not an animal, we are not supposed to propagate, rather populate BY GOD’S STANDARDS which means sex within marriage.

“Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.  Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.” Psalms 127:3-5 KJV

God intends for Christians to desire large families. This is the desire that He placed in the Children of Israel and has historically been continued by Christians who love the Lord through the ages since our Lord’s ascension.

God’s ways bring multiplication, fruit and growth

Satan’s ways bring destruction, and death
