Fear the Lord

Fear the Lord

The beginning of Wisdom and Knowledge is the Fear of the Lord. Even Jesus said fear the One that has the power to destroy your soul in Hell:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Prov 9:10 (KJV)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Prov 1:7 (KJV)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Psalms 111:10 (KJV)

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matt 10:28 (KJV)

The fear of the Lord is more than respect or reverence—it is fear, yet is not a servile (wicked, perverted fear). Perverted fear seeks to control you, healthy fear protects you. The fear of the Lord is a healthy fear, much like it a healthy fear of not getting your clothes to close to a campfire. The fear of God is not filthy. However, the fears Satan bombards us with are.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. Psalms 19:9 (KJV)

Do you fear the Lord?

If you do not you cannot have true wisdom, knowledge or understanding is what the Bible says.
