Repentance
Read Hosea 14
Repentance is essential to experiencing a
real transformation of life. Webster’s 1828 dictionary defines Repentance as follows: (def. 3.)
Real
penitence; sorrow or deep contrition for sin, as an offense and dishonor to
God, a violation of his holy law, and the basest ingratitude towards a Being of
infinite benevolence. This is called evangelical
repentance, and is accompanied and followed by an amendment of life.
Take
another look at the verses for today and pray that God continues to grant you a
truly repentant soul, that you might continually walk in His will and avoid
many dangerous snares, hollow and deceptive philosophies, false prophets, and
serpents which are all along the narrow road seeking to detour you to the wide
paths of destruction.
Our part, is to repent for our sins and
TURN from our wicked ways.
