If you had an Opportunity
Men, if you had an opportunity to preach a
sermon, what would you say? Women, if you had the opportunity to lead a ladies
meeting and the Word, what would you say? Would you spend the whole evening
studying and preparing?
As I have often told
young men I was discipling: seeking the Holy Spirit is the first step. Seek the
Lord and He will show you what to say. Follow His lead, speak on what He lays
on your heart.
“…the Spirit of truth…will guide you into all truth; for He
will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will
speak…” John 16:13 NKJV
It
is not really about saying what you want or coming up with something cleaver,
but on being dependent on and obedient to the Holy Spirit.
