Faithfulness Lessons #3

#3 To Be a Faithful Man, You Can’t Follow your Heart

Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. 10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity. Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them

Ecclesiastes 11:9-12:1 (KJV)

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)

If you follow your heart and walk how you want to and in the way that seems most pleasing to your lustful eyes, you will be punished. God has to bring the consequences of your actions in judgment because He loves you and cannot go against His Word. Don’t follow your heart, remove evil by recognizing that childhood and youth are vanity. Just putting things off and refusing to learn because “you’re young” will bite like a snake later on.

While you’re young, remember God, your Creator, and Fear God (honor, reverence and even tremble at His righteous Law) because this is the whole duty of a man. But remember, God will bring every thing everyone does to judgment—every secret thing—it will be brought to light for what it is, whether good or bad.

Don’t Follow your heat . . .

Obey And Serve God

God is looking for Faithful Men! Our country desperately needs men who will be faithful, that is, loyal, uncompromising—

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Ezek 22:30 (KJV)
