Thought 313: The Trinity from Ryan's devotional book series Thougths

Thought 313

The Trinity

Genesis 1:1-2 and John 1:1-3 have a three part being creating this world. All three parts are active. It isn’t that hard to understand the basics of what the Trinity is. Man has a body, a soul and a spirit. It can be hard at times to name the exact part of the three, yet you can understand the basics. A man is a son, a friend, and an employee. Now he has three “personalities” if you will, but he is still the same person. I am not trying to state that God is like man, but we are created in His image and this world is created by Him, so naturally He would leave His imprint on His creation. These analogies are simply for understanding the Trinity.

God is one, and He is three: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
