Premarital
relationships—friendships, dating, courtship—affect our lives, emotions, and
even our relationship with God. Far too many young people have been deceived by
high emotions and hurt by things they will regret the rest of their life,
unless they seek the Lord for forgiveness and receive a special measure of
grace. As we go into this book, please keep your mind and heart open. Let’s
look at God’s Word; let’s listen to the Holy Spirit when He pricks our Spirit.
Let’s begin with prayer:
Father, I come before You now and thank You
that everyone who has believed upon Your Son Jesus Christ and received Him as
Savior is Your child. We come You as children, crying “Daddy, teach me Your
ways. I don’t know what to do.” Show us, O Lord. Illuminate our path by Your
Spirit as You teach us the truth and clarify a scriptural-vision for our
premarital relationship in our heart in accordance with Your truth. In Jesus
Name, we ask You to take our spirit, soul, and body and show us how to honor
You with them because we desire to please You, Father, and to know Your will.
Amen.
