In Purity

These things command and teach.
Let no man despise thy youth;
but be thou an example of the believers,
in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
1 Timothy 4:11-12 (KJV)

In Purity

   This is an area of many misunderstandings and few applications. To start I’ll include a FB post from our Biblical Manhood group:
LIFE PRINCIPLE: seeking and waiting for God's direction.
In talking to young men about "girl problems" the last few years, I have found one statement that will puzzle many and enlighten others. It is this: if you will seek God and pray to Him for the "big decisions" of your life like work, college, or something really important, then why won't you just seek Him about "the girls?" If you don't get God's approval after seeking Him, then don't do anything. Don't get involved. Until God says, "Go," don't run after the ladies and waste your life piling up regrets.
   Live a life of purity. Live one of conviction and caution in “relationships” with the opposite sex. Above all, follow the Lord’s leading and not your own lusts.
   Your purity if spiritual and physical. Don’t physically commit sexual immorality and spiritually don’t prostitute yourself with this world. Be principled, be Biblically-based, BE SELF CONTROLLED IN THIS GODLESS AGE.
    Live a life of purity! Don’t let your lack of purity discredit you! Be a man of God that actually stands for what God stands for! Our culture is lacking this kind of man.
