Words Really Do Hurt!
Words really do hurt, that is why we are instructed over and over again to live a quiet and peaceable life. Check out: Psalm 5:9, 141:3; Jeremiah 9:8; Matthew 12:34, 15:11; and Luke 6:45.
The pain and sorrow that you have in your spirit when or after you say hurtful things is God speaking to you. Ask forgiveness, repent, and move on. God wants to forgive you for the things you have said, but He also wants you to surrender your mouth to His standards. Will you do it?
Prayer: Lord, I ask You to convict our hearts when the words of death come out of our mouths. Lord, show Your conviction in a mighty way to the readers so that they may know when they have sinned and run to embrace Your forgiveness through repentance. But when they repent, Father, I ask in Your Son’s Name, that You send the warmth, encouragement, and love of Your presence and forgiveness. Amen.
